Mango Promenade Historic District is one of the oldest neighborhoods in West Palm Beach, Florida. It is located in the northeastern section of the city, bounded by Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to the north, Dixie Highway to the south, Australian Avenue to the east, and Sapodilla Avenue to the west. The neighborhood is predominantly residential, with a mix of single-family homes, duplexes, and apartments. There are also a few commercial businesses located within the district.

History

The Mango Promenade Historic District was originally platted in 1894 by William R. Kenan and George W. Potter. It was one of the first subdivisions in West Palm Beach, and was originally advertised as a “high class residence park.” The neighborhood was developed in the early 1900s, with most of the homes being built between 1904 and 1915. The architecture in the district is primarily Mission/Mediterranean Revival and Bungalow/Craftsman style.

The Mango Promenade Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
