This museum is situated in in downtown Raleigh, and it is one of the largest museum of natural sciences in the southeastern side of the United States.

Inside the museum is a Nature exploration center which has an array of permanent installations such as the Arthropod Zoo. Additionally, it has exhibits that explore NC’s local natural history, mountains, and coasts.
