The Sacramento Museum Day
This is a fantastic event that takes place on every first Saturday of February. If all you need is to get into a museum and learn some history, then this is the event that was specially made for you. Over 30 museums including the People’s favorite Sacramento California RAILROAD Museum, Croker Art Museum and the California Museum open their door to the public for free. Yes, you will not pay a dime to navigate around these museums.
Some of the museums will charge a fee during this day, but don’t worry, the prices are heavily discounted.

Whether you are a player or what makes you happy is watching a thrilling basketball match, then come to the city in March and watch this amazing tournament. It will make your stay in the city enjoyable, and give you a reason to come back.
The Amgen Tour of California
Pick up your bike on May 12-15 and cycle around the city in what has been regarded as the biggest cycling race in North America – the Amgen Tour of California. Even if you do not participate in the competition, watching as cyclers compete against each other will be worth your time.
The Sacramento Music Festival
Previously known as the Jazz Jubilee, this is an event that celebrates all genres of music. Whether you love pop, rock, jazz, or any other type of music, come to this city in May, and get entertained by more than 100 bands that fill the streets of the old Sacramento and a host of select venues.

This event takes place on June 3 and features dozens of award-winning restaurants and wineries in Sacramento. Its main aim is to celebrate the best culinary in the region. Here, you will have a rare opportunity to taste different wines and determine the best among them.
California State Fair
This is one of the events just like visiting Sacramento – Railroad Museum, California State Fair attracts thousands of people from far and wide who come here to view amazing exhibits, live entertainment, and state-of-the-art exhibits. California International Marathon
There is no better way to end your year than attending the California International Marathon. It doubles as a fun event, and as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. The marathon stretches from Folsom through the tree-lined streets of Sacramento and ends at the entrance of the City.

On New Year’s Eve, come and enjoy the biggest fireworks show filled with street entertainment, live music, and lots of food and drinks from street vendors.
