Barton Springs Municipal Pool

If you’re looking for a place to cool off in the summer heat, Barton Springs Municipal Pool is the place to be! With its refreshingly cool water and stunning views of downtown Austin, Texas, this pool is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. However, there are a few things you should not do while at Barton Springs Pool. In this blog post, we will discuss what those things are so that you can enjoy your time at the pool without running into any trouble.

Don’t bring food into the pool area.

Barton Springs Pool is a public pool, which means that it is open to anyone who wishes to swim in it. As such, the pool area is often crowded and there may not be enough space for you to spread out your picnic blanket and eat your lunch. Not only will this make it difficult for you to enjoy your meal, but you will also be taking up space that could be used by other pool-goers.

If you must eat while at the pool, we recommend that you either eat before coming to the pool or wait until after you’ve finished swimming to have your meal.

Don’t drink alcohol in the pool area.

We all know that drinking and swimming is dangerous combination. Not only can alcohol impair your judgment and increase your risk of drowning, but it can also make it difficult for others to swim if they are sharing the pool with you. For these reasons, Barton Springs Municipal Pool does not allow alcohol in the pool area. If you want to enjoy a cold beer while at the pool, we recommend that you do so in the designated areas outside of the pool area.

Don’t bring pets into the pool area.

Barton Springs Municipal Pool is a public place and as such, there are certain rules that must be followed in order to ensure everyone’s safety. One of those rules prohibits pet owners from bringing their animals into the pool area. Pets are not allowed in the pool for a variety of reasons, including the fact that they may disturb other swimmers and contaminate the water. If you want to bring your pet to the pool, we recommend that you leave them at home or in one of the designated pet-friendly areas.

Don’t bring glass containers into the pool area.

This should go without saying, but we’ll say it anyway: don’t bring any glass containers into the Barton Springs Pool area. Not only is glass dangerous to swim with, but it can also break and cause injuries to other pool-goers. If you’re looking to enjoy a refreshing beverage by the pool, be sure to choose a plastic or aluminum container instead.

By following these simple guidelines, you can help ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time at Barton Springs Municipal Pool. So next time you’re planning a trip to the pool, remember to leave your food at home and drink responsibly!
