Mounts Botanical Garden is a lush, 24-acre garden situated in the heart of West Palm Beach FL. This beautiful place was established by Alice Mount and her husband Robert in 1950 with the intention to provide “a sanctuary for all who love beauty”. The gardens are divided into four distinct areas: Perennial Gardens (featuring 4,500 plants), Palm Tree Garden (containing over 5 acres of palm trees), Rose Garden (with over 3,000 roses) and Woodland Gardens. Mounts Botanical Garden is one of Florida’s most popular destinations; it has been featured on HGTV “What Not to Miss” list!
Brief History
This garden was established in 1950 by Alice and Robert Mount. They purchased the property that now houses Mounts Botanical Garden for $20,000 with a vision to provide “a sanctuary for all who seek beauty”. Since then it has developed into one of Florida’s finest gardens boasting over 12,500 plants as well as the only public rose garden in Palm Beach County

There are a number of activities to engage in when you visit Mounts Botanical Garden. You can do some bird watching, take a guided tour of the gardens, escape for an afternoon picnic or even rent out one of their gazebos!
Tips for Visiting
We recommend you visit Mounts Botanical Garden in the spring or fall when it isn’t too hot. It is open Tuesday through Sunday but closed on Mondays. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and be aware that there are some steep hills. You can get a map of the garden at their main gate or download one on your phone before getting there.
