LBJ Presidential Library

Brief History
LBJ was our 36th President and he served from 1963 to 1969. He was a Democrat from Texas. As president, LBJ worked hard to pass civil rights legislation and create programs like Medicare and Medicaid. After he left office, LBJ returned to his ranch in Texas where he died in 1973.
